Tomorrow JPMorgan Chase shareholders will decide whether to strip current CEO and Chairman Jamie Dimon of his chairman role in hopes of instilling tighter checks and balances on top bank executives. The underlying question: Do separate chairman and CEO roles benefit a corporation’s shareholders? Probably not, according to research by Professor David Larcker and Brian Tayan (MBA ’03). Read why: http://stnfd.biz/le6pk

Yahoo has confirmed it is buying Tumblr for $1.1 billion. “We promise not to screw it up,” Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer wrote on her Tumblr blog.
Tumblr CEO David Karp reassured users in his own Tumblr post that the acquisition would not change his six-year-old site’s user experience or mission, but rather make it faster.

This is a simulation of a rotating 4 dimensional Cube, otherwise known as a Tesseract.
What you are seeing is it Rotating. It is not being distorted, reshaped, or anything like that. it is simply Rotating - It appears to be distorted because you are only seeing the ‘projection’ of it. similarly if you rotated a 3D cube infront of lamp the shadow you would see would appear to distort.

Rare Nacreous Clouds
Also called polar stratospheric clouds or mother of pearl clouds, nacreous clouds are mostly visible within two hours after sunset or before dawn. They blaze unbelievably bright with vivid, iridescent colors. These clouds are rare and occur in the polar stratosphere at altitudes of 15,000–25,000 meters. They are so bright because at those heights, they are still sunlit.
Although incredibly beautiful, they have a negative impact on our atmosphere. They create ozone holes by supporting chemical reactions that produce active chlorine which catalyzes ozone destruction.

Round 2 || Game 6 || The San Antonio Spurs @ The Golden State Warriors
There was so much emotion yesterday, so many things to spotlight. We all hoped they would pull through this series like they did against Denver, but you can’t help but be proud of what we saw this entire season. Everyone can agree on that fact that our future looks bright, and next season is coming way too slow. Hopefully the Dubs can equal the greatness that they showed this season, and possibly even achieve a higher level of greatness that we all foresee in the next couple seasons. They went out fighting and they showed a lot of heart.

‘The World at Night’ can be brightly beautiful – but there’s a dark side, too
(Photo: Andreas Max Baeckle)
Are the images featured in The World at Night’s annual “Earth and Sky” photography contest meant to celebrate the wonders of the night sky, or draw attention to the worries about the night sky? They’re meant to do both, says astrophotographer Babak Tafreshi.
